Every landscape begins somewhere. Here are a few examples to get you started:
I keep imagining a place where people don’t have to pretend they’re okay before they’re welcomed. I don’t know exactly what it looks like yet. Maybe it’s a café. Maybe it’s a retreat. Maybe it’s just a room with comfortable chairs and enough time for honest conversations. I only know that every time I imagine my future, that place is there.
No matter how many different careers I explore, I keep returning to the idea of working with plants. I don’t know if that means growing flowers, restoring forests, or simply caring for a community garden. Something about helping living things grow feels like it would help me grow too.
I keep wondering what would happen if I trusted my own curiosity instead of waiting for permission. There are so many small interests I’ve ignored because they didn’t seem practical. Maybe following them is the path I’ve been looking for all along.
There’s a possibility that keeps finding me when I least expect it—that I could build a slower life than the one I was taught to chase. A life with fewer things, fewer obligations, and more mornings where I can actually hear the birds outside my window.
