How Do You Hope To Spend Your Ordinary Days?

Every landscape begins somewhere. Here are a few examples to get you started:

I imagine ending most days feeling pleasantly tired instead of completely depleted. I’d rather look back and remember conversations, walks, shared meals, and moments of laughter than wonder where all my time went.

I hope I never become too busy to notice the little things. The first hummingbird of spring. A conversation that lingers after coffee. Fresh sheets. Rain against the windows. I want to build a life where those moments aren’t interruptions—they’re part of what I’m living for.

I picture afternoons spent tending a garden, evenings making something with my hands, and weekends that aren’t packed so full I need another weekend to recover. I want my calendar to leave room for life to surprise me.

I’d like my days to have a gentle rhythm. Morning walks. Meaningful work. A home-cooked dinner. Time to read before bed. I don’t need every day to be exciting. I just want enough ordinary days that feel deeply satisfying.
